WHAT’S HAPPENING AT HEIRLOOM
BEST TASTE & JUDGE’S CHOICE AWARDS
On October 2nd, Heirloom, led by Chef John Robert Bandy took home two of three awards at Spartanburg’s annual fundraiser for the March of Dimes hosted at the Spartanburg Marriott. This year’s benefit which raised almost $200,000 for the March of Dimes, showcased the talents of some of Spartanburg’s local culinary elite at one of the tastiest galas in town. Chef Bandy and his team were honored with the Best Taste award as well as the Judge’s Choice award establishing Heirloom’s place among the city’s most noted restaurant groups and chefs. The evening paid tribute to the excellence of Spartanburg’s dining scene with some of the cities’ signature chefs from restaurants, such as Willy Taco, Cribbs Kitchen, and the Fr8 Yard; Rick Irwin’s Level10 atop the AC Hotel; Spartanburg’s The Eatery, II Samuels, Delaney’s, and Sparks at the Marriott. It was truly Spartanburg’s finest food creators on a stage where Chef Bandy and his team made an impressive statement about Heirloom’s creative approach to classic favorites. We are, indeed, honored and proud to earn this nod among our peers in a city whose roots we honor and showcase with our locally-inspired farm-to-table fare.
